Guess who we spotted in an asymmetric neckline piece? African storyteller and film director Wanuri Kahiu. She recently attended the Toronto International Film Festival in a mustard ensemble by Nigerian high-end ready to wear brand, Ilàré.

Wanuri who is the co-founder of  AFROBUBBLEGUM, a media company that supports, creates and commissions fun, fierce and frivolous African art, showed up for the first showcase of Rafiki, in an asymmetrical neckline dress from Ilàré‘s Datubi collection.

The dress features a 4-inch slit in front, puffy cage sleeves that add a little more drama to the simple but stylish dress. She rocked the look with statement feather earrings that complimented her braided hairdo styled to the side.
