Lagos Fashion Week’s CRAFTED: Heritage. Innovation. Circular Futures. theme encouraged designers to explore the relationship between heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary fashion. For its debut on the Lagos Fashion Week runway, DWL presented Heritage Redefined, a collection exploring structure, colour and detail through tailored suits, lacework and statement silhouettes.
From sharp, fitted pieces to flowing eveningwear, the collection moved between different expressions of contemporary dressing. The contrast in silhouettes, alongside the use of lace and considered detailing, gave the presentation a varied look at modern style.
With Heritage Redefined, DWL made its first appearance at Lagos Fashion Week, adding its perspective to the season’s wider exploration of how heritage and contemporary design can meet.
