We are looking for bold, thought provoking opinion pieces on fashion industry issues, pop culture, marketing, retail, media and more! We welcome contributors with strong points of view on luxury, the business of fashion, media and retail issues as well as lighter pop culture pieces that resonate with a style conscious audience.

The opinion pieces can cover the latest trends, discuss challenges or opportunities and offer solutions without self-promotion. Each column should offer insight unique to the issue discussed and should be fitting to BellaNaija Style’s core audience of African fashion and beauty brands, fashion enthusiasts, retailers, and influencers.

Position yourself as an industry-expert with a column to educate our readers on the ins and outs of the African fashion industry. As more people engage and entertain themselves with content – from mobile to online and offline content, fashion/beauty inspiration and advertising in their daily routines , this is a chance to cut through the clutter with incisive commentary on issues unique to Africa-facing brands and opens you up to a massive audience across our platforms.

Each piece should be no more than 600- to 700-word count, with exceptions for longer pieces based on a discussion with our Editor At Large. Isoken Ogiemwonyi. Sentences should be short and so should the paragraphs. Jargon should be avoided. Columns cannot be overtly promotional of their product or services.

Those interested in writing columns on a one-off or regular basis should send a one-paragraph summary of the topic and email to submissions [at] bellanaija dot com with the subject Style Contributor.

Good luck!
