Patricia Bright‘s MAC Collab is here – and whilst we are unsure if this will lead to an eventual full-line cosmetics collection this is certainly an awesome start.

Earlier this year she let her fans know she was in Canada perfecting the formulation of her very own lipstick shade:

The collaboration between Patricia Bright and MAC Cosmetics has officially launched. The London based Nigerian beauty influencer helped develop a 90’s inspired lip shade called the Patricia Bright, which from the initial campaign images has MAJOR color pay-off. #TeamMelanin rejoice!

According to an interview with Black Beauty and Hair, Patricia shared the inspiration behind the lipstick with the magazine;

“It’s a throwback to the 90’s. This was a time where lots of strong powerful women were in the mainstream wearing iconic browns. I loved it! Colour payoff is really important to me, as is staying power and the ability to mix things up. I think matte gives you the best of both worlds, you can wear it the way it comes, or throw a gloss over the top. Either way you get a fabulous finish without losing the impact of the shade.”

In her YouTube video about the new lipstick shade, she finally shared the dates her collaboration will be available for sale:

Guys this is mad, I am beyond excited to share this secret I’ve been holding for you all! My Lipstick will launch in UK/Europe From the 15th August, it will launch globally Soon after, but Selfridges ship internationally if you want to get your hands on it earlier!

As well as sharing the dates for her in-person meetups with fans

Well, we’ll well babes, This is happening ? I have my own lipstick with @maccosmetics . I know I look strong and fierce on the outside but on the inside I’m ‘sh*tting it, this so scary. I’m beyond excited to announce that August 15th is the release. Like honestly I’m crying because really I’m imperfect and not a ‘pro-artist’ but I do have a love for making myself and others feel good through the medium of beauty. So thank you, thank you so much for the support and allowing me to share dream moments like this, and opening the the doors for other one WAOW at a time!. P.S I’ll be doing a meet and greet in London and Manchester! All info in My stories!
