At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I just have to say this one more time ‘what a week!’. It seems 2019 is  is gunning up to be an unbelievably eventful and scarily fast but very amazing year. Every day it seems there is a new event happening or about to happen or a new collection to lust over or a BellaStylista to crush on and stalk on Instagram or a new TV show to binge on, doesn’t it? So much so that one can’t help but have a little FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) creeping in on some level. To help you combat this, the BN Style team comes together every week to talk about the five things we have been loving over the past week to help you know what bandwagon you have to get on.

This Friday, from our amazing team to you, here are the five things we have been loving and you should totally get into right now.

Fashion

@officialcegar

Our fashion pick for this week has to be Ceegar’s latest collection release. What is Ceegar? Big Brother Naija 2018 first runner up, lawyer, influencer and all round boss babe Cee-C Nwadiora is now the CEO of her very own brand and that brand is Cegar, which she launched alongside a collection that has everyone talking.

Beauty

@skinned.bynature

We found this brand thanks to a Instagram recommendation from one of our faves – the creative director of  Orange Culture, Adebayo Oke-Lawal – and we will be honest, we are obsessed with the brand. Their brand aesthetics and product range is beyond goals especially as all their products are handcrafted and all natural. Will we be splurging on this brand this pay day? You can bet on it!

Entertainment

@ncutigatwa

We may or may not still be obsessed with Netflix’s Sex Education and Ncuti Gatwa’s spotlight stealing portrayal of Eric Effiong may or may not be the reason for this obsession. Ncuti may have given great performances on Stonemouth and even Bob Servant but his performance on Sex Education is simply gold and we will be rioting if he doesn’t get nominations and even a few awards for it. While here in Nollywood, we are intrigued by Call Me By My Name – no relation to Luca Guadagnino’s Call Me By Your Name – a psychological thriller produced by Edith Nwekenta that explores the African pantheon and folklore.

Cuisine

@sugarcane.ng

Sugarcane is that super clean, uber chic modern restaurant that manages to still retain enough warmth that makes it perfect for a reunion with your friends or for the whole office to crowd in for laughs and jokes over great food at the end of a very tiring day or week. Definitely right up our alley.

BellaStylista

@theorangenerd

Our BellaStylista of the week has to be the ever stylish, every glowing and very talented fashion designer and creative director Adebayo Oke-Lawal of Orange Culture. Bayo’s eccentric style and glowing skin are some of the things that steadily light up our collective Instagram feeds as does his designs. Bayo was one of the few that made the cut and was on the BN Style Creatives To Watch Out For In 2019 list as well as Esquire’s list of male style pionners changing Africa’s men’s fashion industry, if this doesn’t tell you how awesome Adebayo is then we don’t know what to tell you.
