Clothing giant, H&M according to British newspaper The Evening Standards, has launched its collaboration with South African clothing brand Mantsho about “the elegance and vibrancy of Africa.”

In April, the retail giant announced its venture in Africa when it tapped the South African designers for a collaboration that will be its first with an African designer.

The label which is also a fast-rising powerhouse has produced a range of pieces that includes dresses, clutch bags, earrings, footwear, and bangles.

Mantsho’s head of design, Palesa Mokubung while speaking about the collection said that it is her love letter to the motherland.

This is my love letter to the world from Africa. I hope customers around the world will enjoy this ensemble of my stand-out pieces from my last three collections.

The collection has a range of colours that includes sky blue, brown, red, Ankara prints, black, white and brown.

The assortment manager for collaborations and special collections for H&M, Pernilla Wohlfahrt while talking about Palesa adds that her “creativity with colour, print and silhouettes is inspiring as she celebrates the female form through her designs which complement the female shape in a flattering and playful way.

The pieces will be available for purchase on the 15th of this month both online and in select stores in the UK.
