Nigerian luminary and fashion industry stalwart Lanre da Silva Ajayi has been chosen as the fashion industry representative of the Federal Government of Nigeria’s Creative Industry committee. The committee which is led by Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, aka Ali Baba, also includes representatives from the media and arts including Anita Eboigbe of the News Agency of NigeriaBolanle Austen Peters, Charles Novia, Segun Arinze, Kene Okwuosa, Efe Omoregbe, Chioma Ude, Dare Art Alade , Hajia Sa’a Ibrahim and more.

In a bid to collate primary data on what the financial effects of the COVID-19 pandemic has been on fashion and the creative industries at large, they put together a form that should be filled by affected parties.
