It is almost that time of the year for the highly rated Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show!

Some Models Who Walked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2017

Every year, the Victoria’s Secret brand picks a number of top models as well as some new faces to walk the runway at the annual Victoria’s Secret 2018 Fashion Show – an event filled with glitter and glamour as models strut in new season lingerie from the brand.

In anticipation of this year’s show, models began to receive casting calls last week and have started announcing that they will be walking for the iconic lingerie brand.

Nine African models were a part of last year’s show, a rising number from previous years. For these beautiful women of colour walking for one of the most celebrated fashion shows in the world is a career changer and definitely a step in the right direction in terms of inclusivity in fashion. However, only 6 African models have been confirmed for the 2018 so far.

This year’s event due to take place in November welcomes regular fixtures; Herieth Paul and Cindy Burna returning for their 5th and 6th years respectively alongside a list of new models including first-timer Sabah Koj and Mayowa Nicholas who was in the lineup for last year’s show but was unable to attend due to visa issues.

Keep scrolling to see all the African models who will soon earn their wings, as they’ve been confirmed to walk in this year’s show:
