We love it when an artist makes a real effort to show other facets of their brand – and Seyi Shay has been doing just that in the past 10 days. After a stellar outing at the 2018 BMI Awards the singer and actress took New York Fashion Week by storm, serving up a plethora of fashion forward looks and sitting in the FROW at several shows like Namilia and Converse. She also hobnobbed with some fashion and entertainment industry folks – Whoopi Goldberg , Andrea Rachel-Parker (from Power) and Miss J. to name a few.
On Day 1, where she attended the Romeo Hunte show. Seyi stepped out in a vibrant two piece crop and trouser set, topped with a bright yellow blazer from Jones New York. This menswear inspired set by Aunt Tot is impossibly chic and flattering with its cropped silhouette and the trousers cut in a 70’s style exaggerated bell bottom.
What sets this look apart from previous Seyi Shay looks, is the exuberant colour palette.

For Day 2, Seyi had a busy day, where she took in the Converse show in an of the moment animal print look. Clad in a leopard print thigh-length catsuit, styled with skinny ‘bowtie’ sunglasses and thigh high perspex boots. She switched out her previous bowl cut for a side parted bob and nude makeup. This was an interesting look for the actress.
For Day 3 Seyi Shay attended the Hogan McLaughlin in an edgy yet ethereal look. Opting for slicked back hair and another nude makeup look, Seyi’s white shirt dress with faux corset detail from Oh Hey Girl and nude Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate‘ point toe pumps, rounded out an incredible fashion week run.
