Afro-modern inspired womenswear brand BIAGELI recently brought back its global storytelling experience, Print Speaks, in Dallas ahead of the unveiling of its forthcoming Summer 2026 collection.

Held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, Print Speaks Dallas marked the return of BIAGELI’s immersive live storytelling platform following its multi-city 2025 run across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Nigeria. Created as the experiential storytelling arm of the BIAGELI brand, Print Speaks transformed the emotional themes behind the label’s collections into intimate conversations centered around womanhood, reinvention, identity, and personal evolution.

Founded by Nigerian-American designer and creative visionary Shells Naija, BIAGELI has built its identity around emotionally driven, print-led fashion that merges African heritage with modern femininity. Through themes such as Escape, Dream, and Bloom, the brand explores the emotional journeys women navigate throughout different stages of life.

Speaking on the experience, Shells Naija, founder and creative director of BIAGELI, explained that Print Speaks was designed to bring the BIAGELI universe to life beyond the garments. She noted that the brand’s prints already tell stories emotionally, visually, and spiritually, adding that the experience allows women to physically step into those stories, connect with them, and see themselves reflected in them.

The Dallas edition gathered between 75 and 100 culturally engaged and socially influential women for an afternoon that served as both a storytelling experience and community gathering. The event featured a curated lineup of speakers embodying the core emotional pillars of the BIAGELI brand universe.

Opening the room as the featured Lapis Voice was Ifeoma Obiagwu, entrepreneur, board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, leader, and community builder. Within the BIAGELI narrative world, “Lapis” represents the emotional anchor women hold onto throughout every season of transformation. Obiagwu’s session focused on faith, healing, resilience, and purpose as the thread connecting her personal and professional journey.

Entrepreneur and mentor Rosemary Osondu joined the experience as the featured Escape Witness, where she shared her story of reinvention, difficult pivots, and the courage required to walk away from situations that no longer aligned with her growth. Her conversation reflected BIAGELI’s recurring “Escape” theme, which explores the release that often precedes growth and becoming.

Also featured in the lineup was strategist and storyteller Jessica Chinyelu, who led an interactive session titled “Whiteboarding Your Life.” The session focused on helping attendees translate emotional breakthroughs into actionable life strategies, guiding women through planning transitions, architecting growth, and building practical pathways toward future goals.

Following the storytelling sessions, guests attended the exclusive BIAGELI Electric Indigo Pop-Up, where the brand’s signature print-led pieces were showcased ahead of the upcoming Summer 2026 collection release.

Originally launched in Dallas in October 2025, BIAGELI has quickly emerged as a distinctive voice in contemporary fashion through its fusion of Afro-modern aesthetics, emotional storytelling, and ethically crafted small-batch production. The brand’s debut collection, Electric Indigo, introduced audiences to a visual world inspired by movement, freedom, and transformation, anchored by rich indigo tones inspired by the Lapis Lazuli gemstone.

For Shells Naija, the return of Print Speaks represented a continuation of BIAGELI’s larger mission of using fashion as emotional language rather than simply clothing. She explained that, at BIAGELI, prints are never merely decorative, but instead represent memory, identity, healing, imagination, and becoming. According to her, Print Speaks was created to allow women experience those stories in real life, not just wear them.

Event registration for Print Speaks Dallas was priced at $20 and fully redeemable toward purchases at the BIAGELI pop-up or as online store credit.
