Menswear brand Onwuchekwa has unveiled its new collection for the Spring/Summer 2021 season tagged “What’s In My Name“.
According to the designer:
Onwuchekwa’s latest collection is inspired by the power behind names. When a child is born he/she is like a blank canvas and the first stroke of paint is the name they are given. This sets the tone or determines how their journey goes, from the moment the child is able to say their name.
The bold colours symbolize the names and how they become the painters brush on the canvas of our lives. The white and black stripes are indicative of the roads and pathways; the tribal prints to signify different ethnicities. All of these ideas carefully crafted to make each design simple but really memorable.
