Newly engaged South African actress Amanda du Pont‘s style on her epic Maldives trip was a masterclass in upgrading your beachside style. The actress’s recent sun-drenched trip felt like a digital travel guide to the Maldives and her itsy bitsy bikini looks were as chic as her exotic environs. Whilst we love playing fashion voyeur, and living vicariously through her Maldives adventure is uber fun, you can actually channel Amanda’s style on your next vacation . Think wild curly hair and a considered approach to accessories like a sunhat or minimalist jewelry to  elevate your bikini . Or edgy sunglasses that made her beach-side looks more directional and put together.

Breakfast this morning at our water villa?Happy Birthday it is!

What a dream! God knew I needed this year to be a turn around…Calling it the turn around 30! This year my life has been a turn around. He has elevated me to spaces and levels only His grace could do. And in turn increased my faith. I’m just so grateful for the gift of life??

@veliganduisland @crownchamparesortsthank you for the most magical treatment and extras you are doing to make my day even more magical ??

She also shared a vlog from her trip, with an extensive review and behind the scenes of her trip:

Shawn and I decided to celebrate our 30th birthday in the Maldives. We had both never been before and were thrilled to stay at Veligandu Island. There were so many options of islands and resorts to choose from but reviews on Trip Advisor and Bookings.com rated Veligandu so highly, so it was an easy choice for us. I was only going to share the best of the trip, sunniest days and best activities. Then I thought it might be better to share a 3 part series of trip, to show you exactly what it’s like there. Please know that on this Vlog the first two days were rather cloudy, but it was still 30°c, with warm breezes and water was 28°c. The footage really just got better! This trip was life changing for me, and I’d like you to watch and enjoy every step of the way! Please enjoy part 1. More to come xx
