From celebrating women in unique ways to covering fashion controversies and drama like the possibility that New York & Company’s collaboration with Hollywood star Eva Mendes may have ripped  off Lisa Folawiyo’s design to the surprising news of Nollywood star Adesua Etomi being on the cover of US Vogue, this past week has been nothing short of interesting. And of course, everyone on the BN Style team has been on their toes to give you up to the minute coverage!

To round up this great week of content, everyone on the BN Style editorial and social media team came together as usual to curate a list of all the things we fell in love with this week. From the beauty products our editors are in love with to the BellaStylista members of our social media team were obsessed with this week.

Fashion

I.N Official, a contemporary cutting edge African rooted brand, recently released their A/W 19 collection titled New World Order and not only are all our editors in love with the pieces from the new collection but American rapper and Grownish star Diggy Simmons seems to be in love as well. And be honest, can you blame him? The pieces from the collection are simple exquisite and we can see ourselves in them and every fashion boy, girl and person needs to get on their wave!

Beauty

@narganics

We will never truly get bored of talking about beauty brand who go out of their way to create beauty products that are not only effective and gets the job but are also aesthetically pleasing and Narganics ticks those boxes. While most of their products are amazing, the one that has found it’s way to our wish list has to be their modern take on the classic African black soap. All the goodness of the traditional African black soap most of us grew up with but loo

Entertainment

@voguemagazine

Not only did Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi get to be on the cover of Vogue US this month but she also got to feature in a video with several A-list actresses from the four corners of the world. The video is quite an interesting watch and we have had it on loop ever since it came out – seeing Adesua being fun and bright and refreshingly patriotic is a bit addictive if we are being honest. We’ve also being obsessed with the recent music release by Lagos’ alte king Odunsi (The Engine). The new age pop masterpiece features RAYE and is an easy listen with great replay value.

Cuisine

@prettylagosplaces

After the very busy week we have had over here, every member of the BN Style team is looking forward to a laidback weekend in an aesthetically pleasing space surrounded by beautiful people and great food and one place to get that, if you’re in Lagos, has to be Marcelino Pastry. With Instagram worthy plating and food arrangements as well as an aesthetic to die for, you can’t blame us if we indulge this weekend.

BellaStylista

@akinfaminu

This week we found ourselves just a tad bit obsessed with fashion influencer and medical doctor Akin Faminu. His classic gentlemanly style and dapper outfits is one that inspires the boys (and occasionally even the girls) especially as he isn’t afraid to play around with colours and fabrics every now and then.
