Slowly but surely, we have come to the end of the first quarter of 2019. The year has someway managed to be unbelievably slow while being unimaginably fast but we have no reason to complain but a lot of reasons to celebrate especially as this is the tenth issue of BNS Friday Fab Finds.

From the album we will be jamming to all weekend and right into next week to the outfit our editors can’t wait to snag to the BellaStylista the BNS social media team members keep turning to for style inspiration, here are all the things we have been loving this past week.

Fashion

@rich_mnisi

Sure, Nigeria’s tropical weather makes it next to impossible to layer and play with fabric like we might want to and donning on a jacket like this might be unpractical but in all honesty, the BNS editors are willing to sacrifice comfort for this coat from South African fashion brand Rich Mnisi’s NWA-MULAMULA: LOBOLA ‘19 collection. The overall finishing is superb and with A/W fashion week season upon us, we cannot wait to strut down the streets in this piece and steal all the attention and spotlight. However, the question is which one of us on the team will wear this because we all can’t be spotted in identical clothing, right?

Beauty

@shopajali

We’ll take just about any excuse to indulge in what we consider well-deserved self and body care any day and anytime especially during the weekends! Our beauty pick of the week has to be the Ajali French Green Clay Detoxifying Mask from skincare brand Ajali. Clay face masks are a great way to relax and not just because they exfoliate your skin and leave your skin feeling and looking better but because they also recreate the relaxing feeling we get when we go to the spa. 10/10 would recommend.

Entertainment

@falanamusic

After an almost five year wait, singer and songwriter Falana has finally released a new body of work and the five-track EP has proven itself to be truly worth the wait. The singer tells beautiful stories with her hypnotic voiceover nostalgic beat and instruments which transports you to different time and place. At first glance, it seems a five-track EP might not be enough to quench the thirst the five-year wait has incurred in us but Falana’s five-track EP holds more weight than many a singer’s fifteen track album. The best way to listen to this song is to lay back, close your eyes and let Falana serenade you which is what we will be doing all weekend.

Cuisine

@ogwa.iweze

Thanks to Ogwa Iweze’s digital series Fashion and The City, we dscovered Cantina Restaurants and Bar and seeing how some members of the team will be having a change of location and will be visiting Abuja for a bit we will be visiting Cantina! A place where aesthetics meets tatsty food and is perfect for friends that have been separated for far too long to reconnect? You can count us in!
