Cheers to the last weekend in July. We’ve shared many great frozen cocktail recipes that will keep you cool for the Summer. It wouldn’t be complete without a Strawberry daiquiri. There’s something about strawberries that make them irresistible. If you love them as much as I do, then this recipe is for you.

I’m always amazed at how a strawberry daiquiri is served. The slushy goodness is piled up high in a glass that can barely contain it. Crimson red beauty. It’s one of the few drinks you’ll order that gives you value for money. However, there’s nothing better than being able to make one for yourself these days. In addition to making you the ultimate host, the ingredients are budget-friendly. Totally worth it. This simple recipe is one you didn’t know you needed.

2 Cups of Ice

8 Frozen strawberries

4 Fresh strawberries

65g White Sugar

180ml White Rum

120ml Lemon juice

60ml Lemon-lime flavoured soft drink

30ml Lime juice

Step 1

In a blender, combine ice, frozen and fresh strawberries, sugar, and lime juice. Blend until smooth.

Step 2

Add the lemon juice, lemon-lime soft drink, and rum. Blend for 5 seconds. Pour into glass and garnish with strawberry slices.

Leave out the rum and replace it with apple juice to make this a fun drink for children and people that don’t drink.
