Lagos Fashion Week 2019 was THE place to see the best street style Nigerians had to offer; flamboyant headpieces, minimalist looks, Adire prints and everything stylish. But what I wasn’t prepared for was the flare leg pants trend make a comeback. As the fashion festivities took place in the Nigerian capital last weekend, the shamans to the Gen Z zeitgeist had a revival of the mid and late 2000s look.

The trend has been creeping back into our consciousness in slow bits. Falz TheBahdGuy at the 2019 Headies Awards just a week before LFW rocked the trend and Ivorian model Yannick Konans Instagram is the perfect guide on how to style the flare leg in 2019.

At LFWNG however, it made its comeback in full force as the fashion caravan styled it in various ways in their bids to hit the Federal Place Hotel‘s Balmoral Hall street style snatched.

With bold bright colours to plaids and cheetah skin, this is how the flare leg pants gots its revival at LFWNG2019.
