Essence Magazine has published an exclusive feature profiling Eniafe Momodu, recognizing his significant contributions to the African fashion landscape. The article was written by Nigerian journalist Ugonna-Ora Owoh and delves into Eniafe’s multifaceted creative journey – from his beginnings as a photographer and magazine editor to his current roles as art director, stylist, and campaign director. The article expands on his unique personal style and influence across Nigeria and the wider African continent.

The stunning accompanying photographs were taken by Ghanaian photographer Fiifi Abban, capturing Eniafe in striking ensembles from celebrated designers. Notable inclusions are South Africa’s Lukhanyo Mdingi (2021 LVMH Karl Lagerfeld Prize winner), the environmentally conscious Kenyan brand Katush by Katungulu Mwendwa, and a bespoke trench-suit by Ghanaian stylist Keliiy Morgan.

The shoot, set against the backdrop of filmmaker Kunle Afolayan’s recently inaugurated KAP Village in Oyo State, Nigeria, is a vibrant celebration of African creativity and a testament to Eniafe’s profound connection to the continent’s artistic soul.
