Fashion Week is not just about clothes – the shows are also a preview of all of the beauty trends you’re going to see everywhere next season.

With a wide range of inspiration that runs from thick black cat eyes at Onalaja‘s show, smudgy colourful eyeshadow at Orange Culture‘s show, and innocent white eyes on the Sunny Rose models, the runways showed makeup styles you will want to copy in real life, and other looks any beauty lover can easily appreciate. As for hair, fresh and easy pulled back styles as seen at will be your go-to choice come Autumn/Winter 2018.

We’ve rounded up the best hair and makeup looks from the Lagos Fashion Week A/W 2018 presentations

Bold red lips

Mo Agusto

We spotted kick-ass red lips during the Mo Agusto show and lovers of the classic colour can now rejoice. The retro bright red lippie trend is an old favourite and its seems the industry is ready to bring it back from the fashion shows to everyday life.

Exaggerated Cat Eyes

This season, the  Onalaja woman was born to be wild. The beauty look was a no-brainer and was all about the eyeshadow: a punch of black matte swept all around the eye and extended out to the hairline. This was graciously complimented by a clean face and really high ponytails.

Smudged Colourful Eyeshadow

Sisiano
Orange Culture

At Sisiano‘s show, the smudged eyeshadow was the catchy element, and it carried all the way from model to model. Makeup artist Bimpe Onakoya painted a crayon red pigment across the models’ eyelids in no particular pattern, while rest of the face was left bare.

Dewy Finish

Gozel Green

The Gozel Green A/W18 show was filled with dramatic pieces and what better way to let the clothes speak for themselves than to go minimal with the makeup? The models wore easy-on-the-eye fresh dewy makeup that echoed effortlessness. We will be trying out this look from now throughout this season.

Dramatic Lashes

Day 3 Lagos Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2018 Review by Mazzi Odu
Maxivive

The beauty shots from Maxivive were unapologetically bold and loud! Not for everyone, but we can all appreciate a perfectly winged eyeliner paired with extra dramatic eyelashes. Lashes are front and centre among Fashion Month’s big beauty trends and this show took lashes to another level.
