Bespoke womenswear brand Magnetic Elegance has unveiled a new collection tagged Adunni named after the designer’s grandmother Adunnu Molade. The collection is designed with a luxurious bride in mind, but we’ve some looks that will make the perfect wedding guest outfit.

From traditional aso-oke pairings which were infused with fabulous and flamboyant details, and varied textures, stones, and beading to the traditional Iro and Buba revolutionized with the unerring attention to details and other over-the-top designs with intricate beading detailed fabric, tailored to emphasize the African woman’s silhouette and finished with the vintage Victorian dress lace-up.

According to the brand:

The Adunni collection was inspired by the elaborate African wedding ceremony and bridal culture infused by the identity of a strong African woman Adunni Molade. Grandmother of the creative director, who was a politician, architect, and fashion designer herself in the 1940s. She was the true image of the African woman, strong, enterprising, and elegant in appearance.

We wanted to look back in time and also mix with something fresh, streamlined, and chic for the African woman.
