Lagos Fashion Week’s CRAFTED: Heritage. Innovation. Circular Futures. theme invited designers to explore the relationship between cultural heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary fashion. Bakusoraya presented its interpretation to the Spring/Summer 2027 runway with a collection inspired by Beninese batik, African elegance and the visual language of leadership.
Bold prints and layered textures set the tone, while fringe, fluid silhouettes and sculptural accessories gave each look its own character. The collection drew on the artistry of traditional textile techniques, presenting them through distinctive styling and statement details.
With its focus on Beninese batik and African identity, Bakusoraya’s presentation celebrated heritage and craftsmanship while exploring how these cultural references can shape contemporary design.
