Veekee James is counting down to her 30th birthday in a very unique way. Instead of wearing her own designs, she has been actively supporting designers by showcasing their designs.

Ruth Erikan James, popularly known as Veekee James, owns a popular Nigerian fashion brand whose designs are beautiful and elaborate and have often gone viral online. With her birthday approaching on June 9th, she has been showcasing a variety of outfits made by other designers. This initiative serves not only to support amazing talent but also to highlight the diverse range and creativity within the fashion industry.

She started off wearing a stunning beaded red dress by Ghanaian fashion brand Shapes by Nelson. Its exaggerated sleeves offered a distinctly avant-garde and almost dystopian feel, which was truly captivating.

The next look was a breathtaking blue crystal dress that gave the imagery of the sea. Budding designer Bukola Crystals made it.

Following that, she wowed in a Mother Africa-inspired dress made of intricate cowry beads by Glam Stitches.

We also need to take a moment to appreciate the maroon dress by MSO Lagos. The exquisite mix of leather and taffeta truly captivated us, along with the delicate rose detail at the side.

She also tapped into the expertise of Amy Aghomi for a beautiful floral dress, featuring dramatic floral sleeves, a gorgeous corset, and elegant draping.

This aquamarine beaded number from Sarabell Couture is simple yet divine. The way the beads accentuate her figure is 100/100.

The concept behind the deep blue dress by Abbas Woman is incredibly creative; the colour resembles outer space, with the galaxy seemingly swirling around her.

And let’s not forget this stunning ensemble from Airla Hills: a double wrapper, corset, and floral sleeves. Everything came together perfectly, showcasing exceptional design.

Ultimately, it’s wonderful how Veekee is using her birthday celebration to highlight and uplift other talented designers.
