Ruth Negga is in Venice to serve lewks and upstage Hollywood royalty on the way.
The Ethiopian actress hit the ancient fashion capital for the annual Venice Film Festival and her fashion game is definitely top-notch. Promoting her new movie Ad Astra which also stars Brad Pitt and Liv Tyler, Negga upstages the pair with a strong look.
For her first appearance on the red carpet in Venice, she rocked a jumpsuit with heavy embellishments, designed by Louis Vuitton‘s creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere. She paired it with a bold lip stain and matching gold bangles, necklace and bag.
She later switched things up in the evening to an even more regal look sporting a column dress also from the French brand.
Negga who is Irish from her mother’s side just became culture ambassador for Ireland. When asked about her style earlier she said that fashion is her armour.
I suppose fashion is an armour really, isn’t it, for nerves. I think there’s a lot of shy people involved in fashion, although people seem flamboyant, I think it hides a shyness. I suppose I’m a shy attention seeker.
