Mangishi Doll is definitely a brand to watch – standing heads and shoulders above many other brands known to specialise in African print. The dexterous use of print and colour has become the brand’s signature.

And celebrities like Angela Bassett have caught on to the luxe contemporary brand. A quick glance through the brand’s Instagram shows off the edgy shapes synonymous with the brand,  as well as their expertise at combining confident style with effortlessness.

On why they started their line 
 Growing up I always knew I was going to be a creative and years down the line after working in the international fashion industry I had a growing urge to express my art through fashion as I imagined it, saw it in my mind and felt in my soul. Mangishi Doll is a true expression of how I feel as a designer and I wanted to share that to the world and that’s why I started my line.

On the favourite celebrity they’ve dressed 
I have so many on my wishlist! Angela Bassett definitely stands tall on my list, her rocking Mangishi Doll was/is certainly a highlight for me and the brand and we are excited to be working & collaborating with some exciting names as the year unfolds!

She is confident, knows who she is and always dares to show it.
On style inspiration
I am always drawn to boldness, things that uniquely stand out, be it prints, shapes or colors but lately I have also been inspired by my instinct and and have learnt to trust it through my creative process.
