She made sure that her 4c natural hair was washed so that it will be able to be slicked back.
Bonus tip from Ronke: Make sure that you don’t continuously reapply the gel this causes it to flake. Also, make sure you hair is as moisturized as possible in the shower, you can also add oil to your conditioner for this to be possible.
