Farooq Oreagba experienced a viral, life-changing moment last year while riding his horse at the Ojude Oba cultural festival in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. This cultural event sees peers and kinsmen celebrating in beautiful, colourful matching outfits at the king’s front steps.

Last year, Farooq’s majestic presence on the horse, with one hand restraining it and the other holding a cigar, quickly earned him the nickname “Mr Steeze”.

This year, he has returned, looking as grand as ever. He wore a rich, brown aso-oke agbada and sokoto – a traditional Yoruba man’s attire from Rhobes Official. Complementing his outfit were silver jewellery, including a Cuban link chain and a gold staff with a lion sceptre. What a powerful statement of culture and style.

Farooq’s look at the Ojude Oba festival is a perfect blend of tradition, aura, and personal style that come together.
