Every Friday, the BNS social media and editorial team comes together to share all our favorite things from the past week. From the fashion brand we are obsessed with to the BellaStylista whose style is just goals, here are this week’s fab finds.

Fashion

Our fashion pick of the week was actually a consensus as everyone on the team agreed that  Ayo Van Elmar’s SS20 collection takes the cake as it is easily the prettiest thing we came across the week. The collection’s campaign features Michelle Dede and Elizabeth Oputa just as the collection features pieces which exude sophistication and opulence. With clean lines, beautiful fabrics and gorgeous palletes, it is hard to not fall in love with this collection.

Beauty

@narganics

We are suckers for the traditional African black soap and seeing a modern reinvention of it which has all the best parts of black soap, in an aesthetically pleasing packaging, makes us truly happy. And the best part of it all is that it is handmade and Nigerian made so if you are a part of the Buy Nigerian movement, you can rest easy knowing your money is still supporting the country and it’s economy.

Cuisine

@themetaphorlagos

We won’t lie, we are here almost solely for the aesthetics. The Metaphor manages to nail an aesthetic that caters to the Gen Z and millennial’s desire to eat in an restaurant that feeds your mouth and eyes and The Metaphor does just that. If you see us over at The Metaphor this weekend, please don’t remind us of our diets.

Entertainment

@normani

Normani! Permit us to scream like the total stans that we are because Normani, an embodiment of black girl magic, may very much be one of the most promising acts to watch out for right now as she is set to dominate the music industry right now and her latest single and music video Motivation is a testament to this! The song, a beautiful bop which throws it back to early 00s, has Normani delivering both on the vocal and dance fronts.

BellaStylista

@stevenonoja

Our BellaStylista of the week is men’s style blogger and creative director Steven Onoja. Steven’s ability to go full-on gentleman style with a complete three-piece suit to just a tee-shirt and jean and still look like a 10/10 regardless is one that the boys on the BN Style team are undeniably jealous of.
