Beyond the runway, Lagos Fashion Week continues to create room for conversations shaping the future of the African fashion industry. This year’s Fashion Business Series brought together designers, fashion entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders and other key players for a discussion centred on Financing and Sustaining African Fashion in a Changing Climate.

As the industry navigates rising production costs, access to capital, changing consumer habits and the demands of an increasingly competitive global market, conversations around building sustainable fashion businesses have become more important than ever. The session offered an opportunity for members of the fashion ecosystem to engage with some of the challenges facing the industry and consider the opportunities for growth.

From established names to emerging voices, the gathering reflected the range of people contributing to the development of African fashion. Beyond the collections and runway presentations, it was a reminder that building a thriving fashion industry requires collaboration, investment, knowledge and the people willing to make things happen.
