If you’re someone who enjoys the glamour of dressing up, Melira‘s SS26 drop is for you. The Lagos-based fashion house that went viral in 2025 for their bubble hems, scrunched sleeves, and playful fairytale sillouhettes just released their new collection, Chrysalis.
Chrysalis was designed for the woman who is always somewhere worth dressing for. Cocktail evenings, intimate dinners, weddings, celebrations. She knows these moments deserve more than an afterthought, and she has never settled for one. She is not a casual dresser by nature. According to the founder Opemipo Ikuemonisan,
These are clothes for cocktail evenings and candlelit dinners, for weddings where you are someone’s most important guest, for birthdays that deserve a gown, and for every high table where a woman who knows her worth takes her seat. Chrysalis was designed for women who live at the dressed-up end of life by nature.
Each piece in the collection is built around a sculpted, corseted waist that gives way to a full, gathered satin hipline, feminine and intentional in equal measure. The palette is soft: blush, rose, dusty pink, and ivory.
