Few names have stayed as recognisable in Nigerian fashion quite like Bibi Lawrence. Founded by Blessing Eleh, the brand has built its identity around couture, bridalwear and designs that bring together craftsmanship, femininity and cultural references.

For BN20 Gala: High Fashion Icon, we got chatting with Bibi Lawrence about five looks from her body of work that speak to what the theme means to her.

The designer has long treated clothing as more than something to wear. Her work often leans into storytelling, whether through silhouette, textiles, embellishment or cultural references.

So, when we asked her to pick five looks that she considers High Fashion Icon, she went into the archives and came back with a submission that spans statement-making silhouettes, intricate craftsmanship and looks that have their own story to tell.

See the looks.
