When it comes to Nigeria’s fashion scene, Akin and Kiky Faminu are a couple whose style story is just as compelling individually as it is together. Having officially tied the knot in April and September this year, the duo gave us plenty to admire with their ultra-stylish wedding looks under the hashtag #HookedOnTheFaminus. At Lagos Fashion Week 2026, they continued that fashion-forward streak, appearing at several runway shows and offsite events in looks that celebrated their shared love of fashion.

It is no surprise that the couple made fashion week their own. For years, Akin and Kiky have built their presence as digital creators, using fashion as a form of self-expression while consistently showcasing their appreciation for creativity and style. Their influence has also earned them recognition within the global fashion industry. Last month, Akin was inducted into the Business of Fashion 500 Class of 2026, joining an influential community of people shaping the global fashion industry.

Beyond their individual style identities, what makes the Faminus such a compelling fashion duo is their shared appreciation for Nigerian and African designers, whom they proudly champion through their personal style. At Lagos Fashion Week, they brought that support to the forefront, stepping out in creations from talented fashion houses including Orange Culture, Dimeji Ilori, Wanni Fuga and Onalaja, among others. Adding another highlight to his fashion week appearances, Akin also took to the runway for Ugo Monye, modelling a richly cultural ensemble that exuded regality and celebrated African craftsmanship.

As always, their looks struck a lovely balance, complementing each other while letting their individual personalities shine. Whether together or making their own style statements, Akin and Kiky showed just how much personality, creativity and thoughtful styling can bring to a look. And with the designers they chose to spotlight, they gave us even more reason to celebrate the creativity shaping Nigerian fashion.
