Renowned for her ingenious artistic works in Batik, Adire and embroidery pieces, Nike had her first solo exhibition at the Goethe Institute, Lagos, Nigeria in 1968. Since then, she has made several indelible impacts on African art and culture, garnering the attention of illustrious audiences across the globe, including the best of the art world in Europe and the United States of America.

With a career spanning over 5 decades, Nike is one of Africa’s most recognised artists globally. She is a philanthropist who has raised thousands of Artists across Africa and empowered many women through free textile design education.

Her Lagos gallery, one of the largest of its kind in West Africa, boasts a collection of over 7,000 diverse artworks from various African artists and still offers free entry for individuals to date. Nike Art Gallery is also present in other states of the federation including Kogi and Osun states.
