If you have been active on X (formerly Twitter), then you must have noticed the recent love for stunning-looking birds. Photos of birds have been circulating – we suspect Cordelia Cupp must have something to do with it (kidding, kidding) – and people have been drawing creative inspiration from these birds. One of the birds is the razorbill bird known for its sleek black feathers and the iconic white line across its eyes. From cars to makeup and even dresses, people have been adopting the features of the razorbill bird to make impressionable designs. So it’s no surprise that Nigerian-American fashion content creator Wisdom Kaye drew inspiration from the razorbill bird to bring us stunning outfits.

To interpret this magnificent bird, Wisdom styled three conceptual looks rooted in his signature blend of avant-garde fashion, and shared the construction and intent behind the looks:

“This look is meant to be a full-body interpretation of the bird, with the goal of recreating its physical appearance as accurately as I can. The underside is a Dion Lee top and a Louis Gabriel Nouchi robe wrapped around my waist. The cape is from Rick Owens.”

The second look turns our attention upward, inspired by the head of the razorbill. The scarf mimics the bird’s signature white eye stripe, while the overall silhouette captures the razorbill’s elegance.

Wisdom shares that this look “shares a similar base to V1 but features a different cloak. The head is composed of a Ralph Lauren turtleneck, sitting beneath the string of an Ann Demeulemeester sleeve piece, all covered by a sheer Margiela face mask.”

From the layers of designer garments to the symbolic details, both looks highlight Wisdom Kaye’s talent for transforming fleeting cultural moments into timeless fashion commentary. Which of these looks do you like? For us, it’s all.
