Arise Fashion Week came to a close this past weekend,  after a packed four days of fashion. Tara Fela-Durotoye, CEO & Founder House of Tara International the official makeup sponsor of Arise Fashion Week 2018 shares her highlights from the four days.

7.30am

Morning! Excited, I jump out of bed, prayed with my family and head out for my customary morning run (I make sure I run or take a long walk a few times a week).

12.30pm

Quick catchup with the team! Over 120 models – easy to get overwhelmed. So I check in with each individual artist and have a pow wow with Rhema Akabuogu (Head of Artistry), as always she has a firm handle on things so we are good to go!

Ran into a few awesome people backstage, couldn’t resist  – had to grab a few snaps.

Mr Nduka ‘the Duke’ Obaigbena aka Mr Arise Himself.

Kaylah Oniwo, the talented OAP and beauty blogger behind our amazing Arise Fashion Week social reportage. Did you enjoy her behind the scenes as much as I did?

with the Good Hair Ltd girls, Chioma Ikokwu and Kika Osunde. They did such a great job as the official hair sponsors of Arise Fashion Week.

with the Editor of ThisDayStyle, Ruth Osime – always so calm in the eye of the storm! She pulled off Arise with her team in a record amount of time.

1.30pm

Makeup time! I initially went for my go to nude look, but changed my mind and opted for a statement red lip today as I have to be camera ready for several hours.
