One of the best things about March, 2019 is that the month has been dubbed ‘Women’s Month’ and has been wholly dedicated to the appreciation and empowerment of all women regardless of race, creed etc. With this in mind, there are several events that will be popping up this month – some on International Women’s Day and others not – and one of our personal favorite of these events has to be SheBeLady.

Organized by Supafrik and sponsored by TD Bank, in collaboration with DJ Revy B and the Afrotropolis Arts Collective, SheBeLady might be the best way to celebrate International Women’s Day if you’re within or around Toronto and an African woman. Featuring a roundtable and a live music concert, attendees will be graced with the presence of inspiring women like Afrobeats breakout star Teni, singer and songwriter Falana, hip hop jazz lyricist Akua Naru, creative entrepreneur Eniola Hu, business woman Viviane Kaye and more, SheBeLady is definitely the event you should add to your social calendar.

Date: 8-9, March 2019
Venue: The Concert Hall, 888 Yonge Street, Toronto.
