Following a successful run in 2020, XRetail returns in partnership with Afrikrea: Africa’s dedicated ready to wear, beauty and accessories e-commerce platform. XRetail will highlight 50 Fashion, beauty, and accessories brands from across Africa in its second digital sales event.

Continuing with the narrative established in the first stand-alone XRetail event, XRetail: “Make In Africa” returns this year with the goal to raise awareness for the need for manufacturing in Africa. As part of a wider strategy for creating more jobs and generating income across the African fashion, beauty and accessories value cycles, Xretail supports locally produced African brands to improve their sale and distribution channels and become more open to global markets.

As lockdown restrictions ease all over the world, e-commerce proves to be more vital to link brands to the rest of the world. XRetail: Make in Africa will support the push to buy local, rebuild our manufacturing capacities and promote the fashion, beauty and accessory industry at SME and MSME level. Afrikrea remains the E-commerce partner for XRetail, providing a digital gateway between African brands and consumers based in Europe, the United States of America and beyond.

XRetail will further support a series of COVID compliant brand-led pop-ups to attract customers in brands’ localities. From the 1st to the 10th of July, 2021, brands will have unfettered access to Afrikrea’s vast consumer database with discounted delivery to all countries. XRetail applications are open to all African ready to wear, accessory and beauty brands. To be part of XRetail 2021, complete the application below. XRetail is supported by Nigeria Export Promotion Council and Export Expansion Grant.
