At Ojude Oba, colour is never random. One of the festival’s most striking traditions is the regberegbe groups, age-grade factions that arrive dressed in coordinated outfits that instantly distinguish them from one another. And every year, the colours become part of the spectacle itself.
From electric blues and vibrant oranges to rich magenta, sunshine yellows, forest greens and regal blue tones, the 2026 edition of Ojude Oba turned Ijebu-Ode into a moving runway of colour and culture. Each regberegbe group showed up in perfectly coordinated looks, with matching aso-oke, geles, fila caps and accessories creating visually stunning fashion moments across the festival grounds.
Beyond the beauty, the colours also reflect identity, unity and pride within each group, making the styling feel deeply intentional rather than simply fashionable. It’s one of the many things that makes Ojude Oba unlike any other cultural gathering in Nigeria.
