At the Met Gala, it’s easy to get swept up in the gowns, but this year, the conversation was also happening in the details. Under the “Fashion Is Art” theme, accessories were the moment that pulled everything together.

Take Keke Palmer, who leaned all the way into opulence with a diamond necklace that felt less like jewellery and more like a centrepiece. It was impossible to ignore that kind of piece. Then there was co-chair, Beyoncé, whose tiara delivered pure fashion royalty, expected after being away from the Met for 10 years.

Across the board, accessories this year did what great styling always should. They told a story in which the details carried just as much weight as the clothes themselves, if not more.

See the standout accessories that defined the night.
