Osas Ighodaro is no stranger to slaying at the AMVCA, having even won Best Dressed in 2022, and this year was no exception.
Imagine a dress that recreates what we see under the ocean – coral reefs, sea moss, mushrooms, and seagrass. Well, that was precisely Osas Ighodaro’s dress at the AMVCA 2025.

The dress, a Veekee James creation, beautifully weaves elements of the sea into its design. Indeed, the dress is a picture of an oceanic fantasy and showcases excellent craftsmanship and intricate beading. Veekee herself revealed that she used green towels to mimic the texture and appearance of sea moss.
The stringy curls around Osas’ neck down to her spine reflected coral reefs and formed a collar-like effect. She captioned the outfit ‘Giving Mother Earth vibes’, and if ever there was an outfit with that aura, it certainly was this dress.
Her makeup, with its green eyeshadow, and her hair, styled in a slick back bun, all further enhanced the sea goddess aesthetic.

The entire outfit truly pushed the envelope of creativity and stylistic expression in fashion as an art form. At this point, we have to keep giving Nigerian designers their flowers.
