The 2018 MTV Video Music Awards which held last night was a celebration of talent, accomplishments and (we dare say) quirky style. The Awards show is a film and television event presented annually on MTV and its red carpet welcomes the boldest and most out of the box fashion. This year was no exception as the stars trooped in with eclectic looks; think catsuit, see-through sheer and the wildest accessories.

Through the razzmatazz of the evening, the host with the most Tiffany Haddish kept things cool and stylish with two scene-stealing looks. For her first appearance on the red carpet, the Eritrean beauty showed off her daring side in a floor-length mesh embroidered Naeem Khan dress made with brand’s unique Chenille fabric. The piece is an off-shoot from the brand’s Pre-fall 2019 collection.

Taking the look further, she added a white and black braided head-piece and silver hoop earrings. Her beauty look also followed the VMAs dress code; she wore light brown eyebrows and a simple black winged eyeliner.

Her second look on stage equally had that “stop and stare” effect on guests. Hosting alongside fellow comedian Kevin Hat, the Girl’s Trip star who won the Award for Best Comedic Performance for the same movie was a sight to behold in a matching skirt and top set from Rami Kadi Maison de Couture. Keeping her makeup intact, she took off the headpiece to reveal her sleek pulled back hair.
