The 2022 BET Awards was a true fashion spectacle that drew a crowd of celebrities who all walked the red carpet in their best statement looks! Although there were countless fashion moments to inspire us for a lifetime, we were particularly intrigued by one outfit— Novi Brown‘s stunning black, asymmetrical, bustier gown featuring cowrie shells.
The look created by Ivorian designer Lafalaise Dion Queen of Cowrie, as she calls herself, gave off major African queen vibes that captured our attention. We also love how the actress complemented the ensemble with gravity-defying braids, cowrie shell earrings and a matching necklace.
