With 2019’s first Internet challenge of the year, the year has officially started! Last year, we had quite the funniest, most hilarious, weirdest and confusing challenges from the #InMyFeelings challenge to the #WhatTheFluff challenge, It is great to see that we are carrying that energy into 2019 because barely two weeks into the new year and we already have our first worldwide viral challenge – the #10YearChallenge.

The #10YearChallenge simply involves the participant posting two pictures alongside each other on the Internet – one from ten years ago and one from this year – and letting their followers and social media audience gauge how hard age hit them and see how amazing the glow up has been. Sounds fun right? Well, a lot of our favorite celebrities thought so and indulged in this fun challenge and shared their pictures from ten years ago on Instagram and these are our favorites.

Toke Makinwa

Multimedia personality Toke Makinwa was most definitely made for this challenge  and these pictures placed side by side prove that.

Tonto Dikeh

All hail King Tonto Dickeh! Talk about a glowup, Tonto Dickeh proves that ten years is quite a long time as she is almost unrecognizable – in the best possible way.

Tobi Bakre

Big Brother Naija ex-housemate Tobi Bakre shows us what he looks like before and after he became the alpha gentleman we now know and love.

Dunnie O

With these pictures, producer and visual artist Dunnie O proves that whether it is 2009 or 2019 she is and will always be a snack.

Marcy Dolapo Oni

I am beyond convinced that actress Marcy Dolapo Oni is immortal and ageless because she looks almost the same ten years apart – just even more beautiful!

Juliet Ibrahim

Juliet Ibrahim went from a 10/10 to a 20/10 in ten years and I have to pull out my stan card right now because the glow up is real!

Jackie Aina

Beauty queen and YouTuber Jackie Aina may have not been able to work the makeup magic she can now ten years ago but she most definitely has always been a beautiful ball of energy.

Latasha Ngwube

Editor-At-Large of Vanguard Magazine and Founder of About That Curvy Life Latasha Ngwube captioned her post ‘couldn’t tell me nothing then, can’t tell me nothing now’ and I can see why – she has always been a beautiful confident curvy goddess!

Sharon Ooja

If you were waiting to see Sharon Ooja’s throwback picture and get a glimpse of when this beautiful goddess wasn’t pretty, then I am happy to disappoint you because even eight years ago, she was prettier than most of us are now!

Colette Otusheso

Colette Otusheso has always been a slayer so it is unsurprising that her ten-year old throwback picture slays even more than I do now in all my pictures.

Bikiya Graham-Douglas, winner of the AMVCA best supporting actress, did not just post her #10YearsChallenge pictures but also reminded us how important it is to celebrate growth in all it’s forms and we are willing to drink to that.

Adebayo Oke-Lawal

Orange Culture’s creative director Adebayo Oke-Lawal reminds us that even in 2009 he was a fashion trailblazer, just with more hair.

Thanks to peer pressure we now know what Stephanie Coker looked like ten years ago and she has been serving since day one!
