Last night, Nancy Isime marked a new milestone in her career with her Executive Producer debut at the premiere of the romantic drama Loving Itohan. As always, the occasion brought out stars and industry personalities in style, but this time, there was a special dress code: wedding guest attire.

Taking cues from the Edo traditional wedding featured in a snippet of the film’s trailer, Nancy and her co-lead actors, Uzor Arukwe and Obehi Aburime, embraced Edo-inspired looks for the evening. Think traditional coral beads, the iconic Okuku crown, a white brocade tunic and a rich burgundy wrapper, all coming together in a nod to the cultural details woven into the film.

The guests also understood the assignment, interpreting the wedding theme in their own ways. From drawing inspiration from different cultural traditions to bringing their individual style preferences to the occasion, everyone had their own take on what it means to dress for a celebration.

Missed the fashion moments from the Loving Itohan premiere on social media? We’ve rounded up some of the evening’s standout looks for a closer look.
