We’re always looking a season ahead to find the next IT trend. It’s part of our DNA as #BellaStylistas. But we’ve been paying close attention to what’s been popular and have noticed an undying love for pieces from Lanre Da Silva‘s Spring/Summer 2017 collection.

From style mavens to Instagram-obsessed millennials, the fashion world can’t seem to get enough of her art-fashion merged collection.

The collection which debuted at Lagos Fashion and Design Week 2016 features a blend of fabrics ranging from silk to velvet, lace, and organza, with extra focus on details. I mean what else did we except, the collection is called Artistic Statement.

The most popular items are the edgiest, consider this your mini fashion history lesson for the day; true fashionistas love their outfits with a bit of pizzazz.

Here are the three Lanre Da Silva SS17 dresses that will never go out of style.

The lengthy, bell-sleeved tropically painted dresses keep coming back because art is season-less, and can be worn with almost anything. For styling; hair up, or hair down one thing is noticeable these women look sophisticated in black shoes including sky-high stilettos, sandals, and pumps. Each lady’s accessorising, slightly different with a novel twist to reflect their individuality.

This lavish feminine velvet dress which is nipped at the knees with a contrasting frilled multicoloured lace makes it a silhouette of choice for well-dressed women. It complements curves and looks polished when it’s not paired with over-the-top accessories. So keep it simple but classy like Mimi, Zainab, and Monica, gold arm candy and soft-coloured sandals to-go!

Clean lines and functionality have always been what most women look out for when picking out clothes. Lanre chose a simple fabric and paired it with trapezium midi column with significant colours, making it pop and the dress totally popular. Take tips from Rita Dominic and Idia Aisien who wanted their feet to pop in red shoes, Ini Dima-Okojie wore black sandals and black tasseled earrings for a more demure look.

If you already have any of these pieces, save them because 10 years from now, you could totally pair them with the 2027 trending stilettos. *wink*
