Everything Juicy from Day 2 of Lagos Fashion Week 2018 | See the Best with TECNO Camon X

Hey, #BellaStylistas!

As promised, you will be getting daily updates on everything Heineken Lagos Fashion Week on our Instagram page and on the site.

If you were not able to make the runway shows last night that’s totally alright because BellaNaija Style has you covered from all possible angles. RunwayStreet StyleBackstageFashion Parties – EVERYTHING!

We are enjoying using our TECNO Camon X. The 16MP back camera makes a perfect substitute for professional camera, making every picture sharp and worth sharing. The TECNO Camon X comes with super PD focus technology, which tracks and captures sequences of moving objects in sharp focus, so there will be no blurred shots for us this fashion week.

Let’s dive right into all the juicy details of Day 2!

It was as if there was a “Go hard or Go home” memo that was passed around for street style stars! The fashion crowd turned up for the first day of runway shows in head-turning ensembles, setting the pace for the top trends we’ll be seeing everywhere very soon. It was almost impossible to narrow the best street style looks to just 25, everyone came dressed to impress!

Here are clips of some striking looks we caught on our street style cam:

While we waited, fashionably, for the runway shows to start, we were lured in by all the activities happening in the Tecno Booth! The cool space had a photo booth, unique structures with great lighting for selfies and of course lots of fun snaps with your TECNO Camon X – who can say no to fun pictures?

Finally, the runway shows started and we were heavily compensated for the wait with visually appealing pieces from Betty Irabor’s Dew Collection created in collaboration with a host of designers including Toju FoyehMai Atafo for mental health.

Fruché, one of our faves from last year, returned this season with dresses, skirts and pants sets all girly girls will appreciate.

Constantly daring, Kiki Kamanu and Maxivive showed us that the Lagos fashion scene is may be ready for cutting edge pieces. They both presented pieces with interesting designs, colours and catchphrases.

DNA by Iconic Invanity showed us that design runs in the family, presenting a fun and fearless collection for Spring/Summer 19 and introducing her 9-year-old sister’s brand Neka Youth.

One beautiful thing about yesterday’s shows was the intense cultural appreciation which was obvious in almost all the collections from the music as in the case of NACK and details including cowries like Ladunni Lambo did, the sense of traditional pride among last night shows was palpable.

We can’t wait to see what Day 3 has in store! As usual, BellaNaija Style is your resource for the day’s run of the shows.

Here is the full schedule for today’s Spring/Summer 2019 presentations. If like us, you’re a fan of Ozinna Anumudu and Tobi Bakre, look out for them at TECNO’s stand, they will be there playing and taking pictures with guests.

See you there!
