Lagos Fashion Week 2018 is HERE! Find Out What Trevor Stuurman & Tamu McPherson Said + All the TECNO Fashion Scoop

Hello BellaStylistas!

All through Lagos Fashion Week 2018, we will be keeping you totally UPDATED. If you’re here, that’s great. We can’t wait to see you through our Street Style Lens or on the Front Row.
If you are not here, that’s totally alright because BellaNaija Style has you covered from all possible angles.
Runway, Street Style, Backstage, Fashion Parties – EVERYTHING!

We will have a companion on this journey and it’s the TECNO Camon X. We chose to go on this LFW journey with the Camon X because fashion week moves so fast and this was simply the best way to capture all the fast moving action.

With super PD focus technology, it tracks and captures sequences of moving objects in sharp focus, so there will be no more blurred shots for us! With many of the fashion shows taking place in the evenings and at nighttime, we are assured of catching even the most unexpected moments in the blink of an eye.

Let us start with Day 1.

Last night, Heineken Lagos Fashion Week 2018 kicked off in an incredible way. This year’s Fashion Business Series event was tagged “The Gathering”; an intimate dinner party which held in the uber chic Wings complex with an exclusive network of designers, models, editors and more from Nigeria and beyond for its annual panel session which explores the not-so-glamorous business side of fashion.

The panellists included top Blogger and Editor Tamu McPherson, Visual Artist Trevor Stuurman and Daniel Hatton, moderated by Style House Files/LFW Founder Omoyemi Akerele. They discussed the topic – “The importance of platforms in fashion’s eco-system”.

See a clip below;

“Platforms as so important for us to tell our African story,” South African visual artist Trevor Stuurman said. “We can use creativity to carve our own narrative”

You can get the detailed scoop on the event HERE.

The fabulous crowd in attendance bonded over upbeat music and finger foods while occasionally stopping to take photos. We were so prepared with our TECNO Camon XPro phone ready to capture every moment.

The exclusive guest list included:

Somkele Iyamah Idhalama
