Why should you book an empowering portrait photo session? As women, we often don’t permit ourselves to be at the centre of attention. We believe there are many reasons to celebrate your uniqueness and beauty!

Cue in the Lady Boss Portrait series, a collaboration between premium womenswear brand Lady Biba and renowned photography company Gazmadu Studios, which began when both creative directors Bisola Adeniyi and Yagazie Eguare met in 2017 at the Future Awards where they both snagged an award in their respective categories.

The Lady Boss Portraits was launched for the first time in 2019 after conversations continued about how important it is for women to own their narratives. The theme for the year 2019 was Own Your Story. Through this campaign, women were encouraged to stand up, embrace their stories and live out their dreams.

In 2020, the theme was Be your Beautiful. This campaign aimed to celebrate the uniqueness & beauty in every woman, thereby encouraging acceptance of the entity of self and showing up to be all they want to be.

According to the statement of the brands:

This year’s theme, Winning Together was born as a result of the popular narrative that believes women supporting women is a myth. We sought to dispel that with a strong campaign showing what most of us women know to be true.

As brands that are both women-oriented especially, we recognize this as an opportunity to enlighten as well as inspire women across the nation, to see what happens when we collaborate as opposed to competing.

For this year’s campaign, we featured women with amazing relationships across different age groups, work/business dynamics and industries who have achieved incredible feats as a team and we think there’s a strong message here that the Lady Boss Portraits will amplify.
