And this textured side braid is a surefire way to do just that. Issa Rae gave an amazing and hilarious speech at the Women in Film LA event (also giving us a crash course in how to own your accomplishments!) and her stylish look definitely butteressed the powerful mood of the event.
The added bulk of the braid in front gave Rae an even more polished look, and her green eyeshadow was beyond stunning.
