TV darling Jemima Osunde recently released a new editorial to mark Nigeria’s 59th independence. The shoot which was lensed and creatively directed by Ayomide Wey in honour of his late father, sets the scene in 1960 Nigeria. Jemima who serves as the perfect muse is seen in vintage pieces from an English ensemble complete with hat and gloves to a lace Buba and aso-oke Iro set.

We Have All Been In That Situation Where We Had To Depend On Somebody. We Cared Less About Risks Or Consequences Because There Was Somebody To Bear It All. We Had No Inclination To Do Better. We Got Comfortable In That Space And Saw No Need To Want More.
Some Of Us Get Lucky And Get A Reawakening, However Sudden Or Subtle. We Wonder How We Stayed Oblivious For So Long Not Caring To Do More. We Realise That Our Lives Could Be Better And We Slowly Transition To Better Versions Of Ourselves.

In Honour Of Akinwande Idowu Wey (01/10/1960 – 09/06/2019)
