This awards season has been a rollercoaster for stylists who have had to adapt and find innovative ways for an award look to translate via Zoom or photoshoots in celebrities’ backyards. However, one actor who has managed to shine through it all is multiple award winner Daniel Kaluuya.
Working with trusted stylist and costume designer Shiona Turini, Daniel has been a consistent showstopper at every award show he attended virtually this season.
Speaking to USA TODAY‘s Rasha Ali, Shiona spoke about the inspiration behind Daniel’s killer looks.
His vibe is classic with a twist, and we leaned into the idea of having a little fun with getting dressed up to stay at home, without looking overly formal. He and I have a common understanding when it comes to dressing — the clothes should never be too loud or too overpowering because the most important part is the person who is wearing them.
