Everybody loves Ankara! And even though the wax print fabric did not originate in Africa, the vibrant prints have become a part of our cultural identity.

Each day, style stars, BellaStylistas and #AsoEbiBella Style Slayers, use different unique designs to show off the versatility of Ankara.

This new series is a celebration of Ankara – a fashion staple that remains a constant in our wardrobes, despite fashion’s revolving door of trends. Every week we will share the most fabulous styles we spot to celebrate the creativity of these stylish folk we feature, inspire your next look and for your viewing pleasure.

@traceeellisross in @laviebyck

While attending #AMA2018, Tracee adorned herself in outfits made by black designers. One of her most head-turning looks for the Tuesday night event was an Ankara floor length dress designed by Cameroonian designer Lavie By CK.  The vibrant deep V-neck princess fishtail dress from the brand’s Royal Matrimony collection accentuated Tracee’s curves perfectly and gave the needed dramatic effect for the Award show with its bulky double layers of fabric at the sleeves and midi region flowing down to the ground.
